Conductor Gerardo Edelstein, School of Music director for orchestral studies, welcomes the audience to the 2009
Music at Penn's Woods Festival Orchestra Concert, held in Esber Recital Hall on Saturday, June 20.
The concert event featured Timothy Shafer, professor of piano, and David Stambler professor of saxophone,
in addition to over a dozen other music faculty members.

David Stambler, professor of saxophone, performs the solo alto saxophone suite "Tableaux de Provence"
with the 2009 Music at Penn's Woods Festival Orchestra on stage in Esber Recital Hall on Saturday, June 20. Stambler's piece was one of four by the orchestra, which is conducted by Gerardo Edelstein, director of orchestral studies in the Penn State School of Music.

Durran, professor of bassoon in the School of Music, was one of more than a dozen such faculty members
to join in the performance.
